Kathryn (Cai-Ting) Su is a designer-researcher whose work explores how traditional cultural systems — symbols, color, ritual — can be rearticulated through contemporary visual language and emerging technologies.

Her current research investigates Taiwanese Wangye worship and its translation into augmented-reality and parametric design systems, alongside an NSTC-funded project on multimodal generative AI interfaces for children.

Beyond research, she independently designs and delivers courses at NYUST in interactive interface design, AI and design applications, and information visualization, mentoring students from concept to critique. She is also the founder of two design ventures in Taiwan.
